It is estimated that 15,000 tons of mixed rare earth carbonate can be produced annually. In the future Hastings Technology Metals Limited will provide Nd and Pr for the permanent magnet industry. At present, the total amount of measured resources, indicated resources and inferential resources is 21 million tons, the total amount of possible ore reserves is 5.15 million tons, and will increase by 2.5 million tons by the end of 2018.

n 5月3日，從廣東省清遠(yuǎn)市陽山縣人民檢察院獲悉，公安機關(guān)成功逮捕了一名在陽山縣盜采稀土礦造成礦產(chǎn)資源損失過千萬的犯罪嫌疑人，有效保護(hù)了陽山縣生態(tài)環(huán)境和礦產(chǎn)資源。經(jīng)廣東省國土資源廳鑒定非法采礦、破壞性采礦造成礦產(chǎn)資源破壞價值委員會依法鑒定，直到被國土部門查處之日為止，該非法開采礦點已破壞稀土礦礦石量102215噸（稀土氧化物120.61噸），造成礦產(chǎn)資源破壞價值人民幣1085.49萬元。
